چکیده
CuO is a p-type semiconductor with a narrow band gap of 1.2 eV and it utilized in superconductors, sensors, solar cells and optoelectronic devices (1) It is well known that ions doping can improve the catalytic activity of the various semiconductor material (2). Till date, a variety of metal, metal oxides, and carbon based nanomaterials have been used for glucose sensing because of their large surface-to-volume ratio and good electrical conductivity (3). Glucose detection and quantification has attracted greater attention in food industry, biotechnology and clinical diagnosis (4). In this work, Fe doped CuO nanoparticles has been synthesized by hydrothermal method under controlled reaction temperature and pressure. The prepared nanoparticles were characterized by EDX, SEM, and FT-IR techniques. In the following, the Fe doped CuO nanoparticles was used as modifier in a non-invasive amperometric sensor for electrochemical detection of glucose. The sensor was characterized using electrochemical impedance spectroscopy and cyclic voltammetric methods. Glucose could be oxidized on the modified electrode in alkaline solutions as an enzyme-free sensor. The sensor was exhibited a superior bio-sensing performance toward glucose with high sensitivity, wide linear range (2.5 ×10-3-1.9×10-1 mmolL-1and 3.8×10-1-6.6 mmolL-1), low detection limit (0.8μmolL-1), good long-term stability, and excellent selectivity in alkaline solutions.کليدواژه ها
