چکیده
Today, the ever-growing energy consumption and environmental pollution are two universal problems facing civil societies. Therefore, there is an urgent demand for clean and renewable energy sources. Electrochemical reduction of water, namely the hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) has been immensely studied as a promising strategy to fulfil these needs [1]. Noble metal nanoparticles (NPs) have been introduced as the most efficient electrocatlyst for HER [2]. However, high cost and low abundance, limit the utilization of noble metals NPs in industrial applications and a great amount of research has been done to find cheaper alternatives for these materials [3]. In this regards, metal organic frameworks (MOFs) have attracted considerable attention as a new category of materials due to their remarkable properties in electrocatalytic water splitting [4]. In the present study, ternary composite of Fe-MOF, MoS2 and graphene oxide was synthesized as a new electrocatalyst for HER and characterized by SEM and EDX. The activity of the catalyst was examined by linear sweep voltammetry (LSV). LSV measurements were performed at a scan rate of 5 mV/s in a three-electrode cell filled with 0.5 M H2SO4 solution. Fe-MOF/MoS2/GO–modified glassy carbon electrode (GCE) served as the working electrode. A Pt rod was used as the counter electrode and the cell was referenced to Ag/AgCl electrode. The synthesized electrocatalyst exhibited an overpotential of 320 mV (at a current density of −10 mA/cm2) in HER.کليدواژه ها
